Tamilar Inc, is a non-profit, apolitical, secular, community organisation based in Victoria. The organisation was found based on three tenets language, tradition and culture in 2011. Tamilar Inc’s aim is to protect, preserve and augment the classical Tamil language, tradition and culture within the community in Melbourne. All our objectives are derived from these three tenets.

Tamilar Inc. has been organising this event since 2011 and the popularity of this event grown year after year. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the #lights, #sounds and #colors in the form of the three tenets of Tamil – literature, music and Drama.

Tamilar Inc. laid the foundation to run multiple Tamil classes through VSL. Classes are run at multiple locations with constant support from Tamilar Inc. We continuously support VSL in preparing the material, enrolling children etc.
Tamil New Year celebration now popularly known as CTV is Melbourne’ flagship new year celebration organised by Tamilar Inc. Now in it’s 12th year this celebration has become one to look forward to.
Tamilar Inc. has joined hands with many other organisations within Victroia to generate needed funds for our farmers and disaster victims back home. We continue to give back to the community in many ways, if you have a fund raiser proposal, please write to us and we can evaluate it.
